How long do the protein muffin last?

Our Mighty Protein Muffins are all natural and preservative-free. Although we use certain natural ingredients to achieve better shelf life and moisture retention, we suggest that you keep your muffins refrigerated for up to three weeks.

Can I microwave the protein muffin?

Yes, you can. All you need is to microwave them at maximum power for not more than 20 seconds.

Can I freeze the protein muffin bars?

Yes. In fact, if you are going to store the protein muffins for longer, freezing is the recommended way of storing. The Mighty Protein muffin will last up to 3 months in the freezer.

Can I use the protein muffins as a meal replacement?

Absolutely! In fact, when developing the recipes, our goal was to make a high protein snack that is actually a complete meal. That's why we call our Protein Muffins snack/meals.

Can eating the protein muffins help me lose weight?

Our Protein Muffins range between 240 and 290 Calories - almost a half of the calories of a reglular snack of this kind... minus the protein. That makes them a perfect addition to a healthy and well planned diet plan. We cannot promise you that eating the high protein muffin alone will cause fat loss, as a successful diet plan requires a careful restricting of Calories in all meals, as well as exercise routine implementation.

How do the Protein Muffins compare to other protein muffins and bars on the market?

Good question! Glad you asked! There are NO OTHER protein muffins that are all of the following: gluten-free, soy-free, Splenda-free (or any artificial sweetener, for that matter), egg-free, lactose-free, preservative-free, cholesterol-free, low in total calories, high in protein (from CFM whey isolate), moist and flavorful. Protein bars are even further behind. They usually: are high in fat, contain saturated fats, are held together and moistened through the use of glycerol, contain soy protein or collagen, are high in total calories.

Why is gluten free important?

Gluten is the common name of the proteins in wheat and all grains, belonging to the wheat family. Gluten intolerance or Celiac disease is an inflammation of the intestines, which interferes with proper nutrient absorption. According to latest data there are more than 2.5 million undiagnosed gluten intolerance sufferers in the US alone. Many people, allergic to gluten do not have any symptoms, but those who do often suffer from diarrhea, fatigue, even fat loss. Diagnosing the condition, and subsequently following a gluten-free diet for life provides a permanent solution to many people's health problems.

What is the fat source?

We use small amounts of high-oleic safflower oil to help with the moisture retention and flavor richness. There are also small amounts of fat coming from the flax that we use in our muffin recipes.

What sweetener do you use?

We do NOT use any artificial sweeteners (including Splenda, Nutrasweet, Saccharin, Acesulfam-K). We do NOT even use Stevia. In our formulations we only use natural, calorie-free and low-calorie sweeteners, such as Erythritol. Erythritol is natural and almost non-caloric - it contains only 0.2 Calories per gram, it does not have any aftertaste, and it does not cause intestinal discomfort as opposed to some other sugar alcohols.

I am lactose intolerant. Are your protein snacks safe for me?

The CFM whey protein isolate that we use is virtually lactose free - there is less than 0.16g of lactose in each muffin. We do NOT use milk in our formulations.

Are these products safe for diabetics?

We can NOT make any official claims that our protein snacks are safe for diabetics. Our products contain fewer NET CARBS and low glycemic index (GI) sweeteners. The point is our snacks contain some carbs, and may not be safe for diabetics.*

Are these products safe for kids?

Our high protein snacks do not contain any ingredients that could make them unsafe for children. So, yes, they are perfectly safe for kids. In fact, children need foods with good quality protein.* However, keep in mind that the recommended daily protein allowance for children age 4 and younger is 16 grams, and for infants - 14 grams. And our Protein Muffins contain 15 grams of protein.

Do the muffins contain soy?

No soy! We prefer not to use soy in our formulations! Moreover, soy is considered one of the eight major allergens. Since we strive for hypoallergenic ingredients soy is an ingredient that we can not and do not want to use. The whey isolate that we use is soy lecithin free. The lecithin we use in some recipes is made of sunflower seeds.

How long will it take to receive my order?

We ship twice a week - on Tuesday and Wednesday. With a 2nd Day shipping you should expect to receive your order on Thursday if you order by Sunday evening, and on Friday if you order by Monday evening.
